2 pieces of news:

1 — Kimm’s father was not feeling well this morning (severe pain in his left side followed by nausea).  He initially was going to go to his PCP but instead was sent to the ED.  He is finally (eight hours later) being admitted with acute pancreatitis.  He is feeling a little bit better with pain and anti-nausea meds but because of his heart transplant and subsequent kidney problems, he is a high risk patient.  Kimm’s mom has been with him this whole time and we will be going up to visit him tomorrow after Kimm’s follow-up MRI appointment.

2 — I finally spoke with the manager of the IMC/ICU this morning and told her that I would not apply for the clinical coordinator position when it opened.   She completely understood.  I’m just happy that I don’t have that burden resting on me right now.  I want to keep a good working relationship with her and that seems like it will be the case.

Minor stuff:

…slept well today

…quesadillas for dinner (yumm!) while watching the last episode of Season 1 of House

…finally a better night at work

…I finished my latest book, The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah…EXCELLENT…crying uncontrollably at the end…breaks my heart to even think of the atrocities during WWII

…one more night on (thankfully with the other supervisor as well so hopefully should be a good night)
