Well, I made it through my three days on!!! Thank goodness…I was tired.
Tonight is a pretty low-key night…we had veggie burgers and fries again for dinner because I had made double onions last night. SO good.
Then after dinner I finally was able to watch the first episode of Dancing with the Stars!! It was good…my favorites were the deaf model, “Stephanie Tanner” from Full House, and the meteorologist. It will be another interesting season I’m sure.
Tomorrow is Kimm’s upper endoscopy…I’m hoping it goes well!

I feel all stuffy!! REALLY HOPING this is NOT a cold!!!! Please be allergies!!!!
Anyway, work was okay. No major issues. I stopped at the grocery store on the way home to pick up a few things and then off to bed it was for me.
It was warmer on the walk today…in fact Kimm went in her t-shirt only. I’m not that crazy 🙂
Dinner was so simple, yet so good…veggie burgers and fries. You really cannot go wrong with that. While it was cooking I cleaned out my back pack and my lunch pack — those get cluttered awful easy.
The tub is clean!
My shower is taken.
Now time for a nap before my last night on!!

First night of three on is done. It was a tough one. I was so tired and then there was a required meeting after work for the new scheduling software that will be going live April 24 — I didn’t get home until about 9:30 am and by then I was REALLY tired.
It was windy, windy, windy today. Several sections of our fence fell down and Kimm repaired as much as she could by herself. However, this will probably be the year that we call for fence estimates. It just needs to be done. I am REALLY crossing my fingers that it will not be more than $10,000. UGH.
Homemade pizza for dinner. With Brady Bunch. Easily my favorite part of the day 🙂
After dinner yoga. It was HARD. My legs are still achy. Shower. And now a quick nap before going back in. Only two more…

Today was the second half of my one day off.
Even though I only had that ONE day, I feel like I got a bunch done.
…letter of recommendation for former co-worker
…spring decorations up and winter decorations down
…wrote blogs and caught up on reading blogs
…knit one row!
…dishes x 2 (and used up our Easter leftovers)
No walk today as it was rainy all day. Now on for THREE, then OFF for three!!!! (can you tell that I’m looking forward to that!!!)

Work wasn’t too bad so that was a plus 🙂
I drove home and immediately hit the sack because I knew that I would be getting up early. The alarm went off at 3 pm and it felt AWFUL early…the eyes were burning!
We went on our walk and then I hopped in the shower. Soon after we had packed up the car with the Easter baskets and food and we were off.
I was able to have a REALLY nice phone call with my parents and brother and sister-in-law…it made me miss them so much. Holidays can be tough in that regard when you are far from family.
But I was with my second family 🙂
Dinner was SO good….mashed potatoes, butter and brown sugar glazed carrots, corn, cheesy broccoli casserole and rolls (and wine!)
I helped with dishes and then knit a bit on the couch. Some chocolate was also involved 🙂
Everyone liked their Easter baskets!!
The rest of the night everyone chatted away and I pretty much napped…I got SO tired and I just couldn’t keep my eyes opened. It was super relaxing.
We were home by 12 am and 100% ready for bed.

Well, I tried to keep my zen attitude from my 3 days off and then one stupid incident at work just took it away in a second…BIG SIGH. I can’t really get into it too much but leave it to say that I HATE it when doctors get upset with you when it really is not your fault at all.
After I simmered down (eventually) the rest of the night was pretty good. But I must have been pretty tired when I left because I took the beeper and the keys with me and didn’t even realize it until I got home. Thankfully I didn’t have to drive back — my co-worker supervisor said she would use her cell phone during the day instead of the beeper. If I would have had to drive back I would have been NOT HAPPY at all.
Sleep was so-so. Just couldn’t stay sleeping well. The walk was good.
Dinner was simple again…leftover lasagna. I LOVED having no meal prep! And then after dinner we prepped the carrots for tomorrow’s dinner.
Now all I have to do is go upstairs, do my arm workout, take my shower and then a little bit of relaxing before I head to work…tonight is the night I go in for 10 pm.

After all the hustle and bustle of the last two days, it was so nice to have a day that not much had to be done 🙂
It started with sleeping in! (the best start to a morning, obviously!)
Followed by breakfast and reading…seriously, love starting my day this way. I finished Anne of Green Gables (probably one of my top three books of all time).
I was able to do some knitting, some catching up on reading of blogs, and Survivor watching. I’m DYING to watch Dancing with the Stars, but as usual, I have to wait that extra week before I’m eligible to watch…the suspense!!!
Lunch was simple, but tasty — veggie and cheese sandwiches, a few deviled eggs (from Kimm’s mom) and some chips (Doritos for me, Munchos for Kimm).
Followed by a GLORIOUS nap!
Still pretty wet out so a quick trip out for Izzy to do her business and then back inside.
I’ve been doing my languages while the lasagna Kimm’s mom gave us to take home last night cooks in the oven. It smells GREAT. Can’t wait to eat as I’m hungry!
The rest of the night will probably be some yoga (if I can muster up the energy to do it), a shower, and resting before working the weekend.
I have to say I LOVED my three days off 🙂

Today was a busy, busy, busy day, but also a fun, fun, fun day 🙂
I was able to squeeze in a yoga workout before heading out the door.
We left the house about 11:30 am and hit the mall (for A.C. Moore — to find some things for our Easter baskets — cute birdhouses and paint for Kimm, and yarn for me!, we also went to Hallmark to see if they had any cute spring decor…but nothing, then finally to Target for a few odds and ends that we couldn’t find at the Target in Enfield). After all those stores we ate some pretzel bites for nourishment!
And then we headed out to Barnes and Noble to just look around…we both got a stack of books, then got our coffees (a Vanilla Bean Frappacino for Kimm and a Carmalized Honey Latte for me…with a Peanut Butter Cookie to share!) SO MUCH FUN…just relaxing.
We came home, took Izzy for a walk, and then we were out the door to meet up with Kimm’s parents…they had invited us over for a meal and game night.
Kimm’s mom made lasagna! (vegetarian with alfredo sauce for us, meat with marina sauce for them…as well as some cheesy broccoli soup and garlic bread…it was yummy!)
We did the dishes and then played some Smart Ass and Five Crowns. There was a lot of laughing going on….the only down side of the night was that Izzy peed on their carpet…not sure why…probably she needed to go out and we didn’t realize it…she drank about THREE bowls of water while we were over there….CRAZY.
Got home very late….after midnight and bed felt SO GOOD.

Today was such a NICE, PRODUCTIVE day!
I started a new book, an oldie, but a goodie…Anne of Green Gables. I swear when I start reading that book my heart just starts to smile 🙂
I did a few rows of knitting, then some yoga and arm weights. Into the shower, and then dressed for the day. BTW…my weigh in for today was AWESOME — LOWEST weight of the year! It was so incredibly nice to see that number after last week’s horrible number (I did figure out that I probably had a ton of sodium before that weigh in so that helps a little). Also I finished the Biggest Loser at work…lost a total of 4 pounds in 10 weeks (same as the first Biggest Loser) — so I’ve lost 8 lbs since I think middle of last November. I’ll take it…better than gaining 8 lbs!!
Lunch was simple but tasty — fried egg sandwiches with an apple.
Then it was off to get our errands done.
First to the gym to get proof of our payment for our insurance paperwork.
Then to the liquor store to pick up wine for Easter.
Then to the Dollar store to pick up some candy for Easter baskets.
Then to Target to get some more Easter candy and odds and ends. Again we had a pretty horrible experience at Target (many of the things we wanted to get were not even there, they were stocking in many of the aisles that we were in, and it was just a mess). We were glad to leave there.
A gorgeous day for a walk…Izzy was in her glory!
Cheeseburg salad for dinner!!
Then a nap (LOVELY).
Dishes, cleaned the tub (takes only 15 minutes now!), and now just doing some computer stuff before watching a Parenthood.
I LOVE productive days!!

So happy to have tonight off…normally I work but I took it off as a holiday day because my holiday time was almost maxed out. Now I’ll have three off in a row!!!
I’ve been so tired lately so the extra sleep will be very nice.
Tonight has been just low-key — dinner (veggie burgers and fries), Brady Bunch, nap, and now going to watch Parenthood.
Low-key = just how I like it.
