I made it to my day off!!
I needed it too… I just feel tired. Need some recharge.
I slept good. Dinner was simple and delicious — “chicken” parm with spaghetti and corn.
Tonight I want to do a yoga, but my body is just saying rest. So I’m going to listen to it.
Meditations from the Mat (Day 6)…
~~the yoga sutras lay out two aspects of spiritual practice — abhyasa (practice) and vairagya (non-attachment or renunciation)
~~practice is doing the work (following intention with action)
~~but practice is not a substitute for renunciation
~~old behaviors that do not support spiritual maturation must be renounced (for example issues regarding body image and nourishment, such as starving, purging or binge eating)
~~yoga supports us as we make a commitment to change
~~practice without renunciation is avoidance; renunciation without practice is not long-lived
Things making me happy today: a stranger at the hospital helping me brush the snow off my car this morning, seat heaters on cold mornings, a day off!!, not feeling rushed
Going to have some popcorn and watch the last Criminal Minds of this season tonight! And then bed like a normal person and then breakfast…I can’t wait!!
