Simplicity.

Friday, February 3, 2017

I have to say that I love that I am a simple person.  After eating our meal tonight, all we did was sit on the couch and catch up on our local newspaper and it was just so peaceful and simple.  I love that I don’t need to go out to feel better. I love that I am a homebody.  I love that I am with someone who also values such simple things in life.

Catching up…another not so bad night at work.  Crisp and sunny when I walked out of work.  I put on a new pair of sneakers yesterday.  It was time.  I’m going to try to keep track of how long I wear these and change them over after 400 miles max!  I have to protect these feet of mine that already feel like they are falling apart…

Izzy and I took a walk this morning.  She LOVED it, as usual.  Then bed for me which felt glorious.

“Chicken” parm for dinner.  Kimm is still not feeling well.  So congested she can barely breathe which is so frustrating to watch.  I feel helpless.  Nothing is helping but she religiously sprays up the saline spray, will get up and walk up and down the stairs (which cracks me up!) and uses her meds.  I truly hope that she starts to feel better soon.

I’m off tonight!!!!

Meditations from the Mat (Day 34)…

~~physical and emotional difficulties have a simple answer — put faith in your ability to be healed

~~be mindful — stand firmly in the posture of your life, bear witness to the moment, know that you are supported by spiritual powers

Things making me happy today: decorating my yearly planner, knowing I don’t have to go in to work tonight, laughing with Kimm on the couch, a good book — “Christmas Bells”
