Seriously, I have a pretty boring life.
Work (which was fine).
Sleep (which was okay).
Eat (which was good…leftover potato soup…super easy because all I had to do was re-heat!).
Nap (which was so-so…just don’t feel rested).
Dishes (which were SO tough…NOT…3 total dishes…love it!)
Write blog (which I didn’t even know what to write because my life is so boring).
Get ready for work (which is so repetitive).
Well, that’s that…my boring life in a nutshell.
BTW…found out that Six Flags will be hosting some kind of light show this November and December on weekends and selected days (probably to compete with Bright Nights in Springfield). Sounds like it would be fine, EXCEPT…the traffic. So now at a time of year when we normally would not have traffic, we will. Which normally would not affect us in the least because we ARE homebodies most of the time, but now we love to get out and look at the lights around town. So instead of just being able to get up and go and do it whatever night we want, we’ll have to always think about…will Six Flags be open…how will the traffic be? SIGH. SIGH. SIGH.
Meditations from the Mat (Day 88)…
~~each step forward in our journey is a step inward
~~with yoga, you shed the layers of armor you create to protect the false self we present to the world…as the armor falls away, the old fears that created the armor in the first place are there to confront you
~~remember that fear and old behavior accompanies growth, that such regressions show that we are drawing nearer to our truth
~~darkness and confusion are part of the path
~~yoga is a journey INward, it is not a workout, it is a workIN
~~the only real movement is return…this is the point of spiritual practice…to open our hearts and focus our awareness so that we can know what we already know
Things making me happy today: blue, blue sky of morning with white puffy clouds, easy dinner (re-heating!), very few dishes (3!!), reading a good book
