Woke up to about an inch of snow that had fallen on top of lots of slush. But thankfully, warmer temps by mid-day melted most of it. It’s not much fun waking up to winter weather when spring is around the corner…
Somehow, even though I wanted this day to be so, so good, I just turned out to be cranky and therefore it turned out to be so-so. Ever just have those days?? I hate when nothing seems to be going right and then you get more upset and then that feeds on itself and before you know it, you feel like the day is horrible.
Better parts of the day:
…watched Survivor (!!)
…cleaned the tub
…cut my nails (needed it!)
…read a bunch of my new book (Mrs. Grant and Madame Jule — fiction book based on the life of Mrs. Grant, General Grant’s wife and her slave…it’s really good)
HOPEFULLY tomorrow will be a better day. I heard the temps are going to be crazy high…a true spring day??
Meditations from the Mat (Day 91)…
~~self-study is an aspect of the practice of truthfulness
~~attempts at truthfulness requires us to listen deeply to our hearts
~~we need to sift through layers of illusion, blame, fear and manipulation in order to get at the truth, and to learn to speak the truth
~~to practice truth, examine the level of truthfulness in your workplace, family and friendships
~~truth is music to the soul
Things making me happy today: watching Survivor, clean tub, good book to read, breakfast, coffee, a good new low-calorie food find (tomato and basil wraps)
